Inside Out 2018


In conjunction with Oakland Couty Moms.

Inside Out Farmington Hills 2018 – The annual Farmington Hills indoor celebration about the great outdoors – Inside Out! The City of Farmington Hills is hosting “Inside Out” on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6p–8p at the Costick Center. Looking for some family fun close to home this winter? It’s an indoor event about having fun in the outdoors!

Inside Out Farmington Hills 2018

Participants can experience canoeing/kayaking, archery, and fishing pole casting, plus enjoy a picnic, go on a nature hike, play in tents, check out animal furs, jump on a bouncer, and a whole lot more. The highlight of the evening is the live animal show at 7p, where families can see a variety of animals and reptiles close up.

Children 3 and under free. Fee is $13, Farmington Hills resident discount is $8.

Earl Friedman Oratorical Contest

Sponsored by the Farmington / Farmington Hills Breakfast Optimist Club

Contest date: Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 10:00 AM contest start
(arrive no later than 9:45 AM to register)

Contest Location: Jon Grant Community Center,
29260 Grand River, Farmington Hills, MI 48336
(north side of Grand River, east of Middlebelt – at east side of fire station)

Depending on number of registrations, we will hold separate girls’ and boys’ contests in sequence. Contest order and speaking order will be determined by lot at the time of the contests.

The contestants and their family members or guests are welcome to attend the contest.
Light refreshments will be served.

Title/Topic: “Where are My Roots of Optimism?”

Length of Speech: The speech must be at least four minutes but not more than five minutes to avoid penalty points.

Age Qualification: The contest is open to students under the age of 18 as of October 1st, 2018. There is no minimum age limit. A copy of the contestant’s birth certificate or passport must be submitted at the time of the contest.

Prizes: Medallions and monetary prizes will be given to the winner
(first, second, and third place).
Certificates of participation will be given to all contestants.

Further (next level) Competition: Only one contest winner (either a girl or a boy) will be selected by the judges to represent the club at the next level of competition.
