Farmington Road between Ten and Eleven Mile Roads in Farmington Hills.
Every year since 1986, thousands of caring citizens have been part of the hands-on community effort to clean and restore the Rouge River watershed. This year’s volunteers will clean debris in and around the river, remove buckthorn and other invasive species near the waterway, and also help with native wildflower and tree plantings in the park.
The entrance to Heritage Park is on the west side of Farmington Road. Once inside the park, turn left at the stop sign. Park in the paved parking lot.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and long sleeves, as well as sturdy work boots.
