If you come to one of our gatherings, you’ll find that we’re a congenial group of dedicated adults who live and/or work in Farmington and Farmington Hills. We come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but we all share a love of our communities and a desire to inspire hope and positive vision in the young people who reside and attend school here. Optimists bring out the best in kids!
Our gatherings are a great time for fellowship and for learning from informative speakers, but our real focus is on kids. Some of the many programs we offer young people are essay and oratorical contests, fishing lessons, After School and Naturalist Programs, Junior Optimist Clubs at our schools and a variety of opportunities for civic involvement and leadership development.
We also support local organizations that provide programming and opportunities for children, especially those who have been touched by illness and other significant challenges. We also support optimism as a way of life by promising ourselves “to think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best”.
Please come and check us out! You will not be disappointed.
